Fundamentally I trust the process… I trust that if you nail down certain parameters, without knowing what the final result will be, you can make great decisions and love what happens. Rather than imposing an answer, you set off on a journey confident that you will get there.

cira j.s. raab, founder & lead designer

Raised among artists, Cira embodies a talent that predates design school. At the helm of a small-but-mighty team, CJD blends design psychology, aesthetic instinct, and diverse sourcing to transform how clients inhabit their spaces. The success of CJD projects relies on the harmony and impact of their final compositions. Whether pairing a custom banquette with a flea-market lamp or crafting a room entirely from trade sources, they feel unique through editing, placement, and layering. Cira thrives on projects that allow the team’s creativity to flourish. CJD’s best work emerges when clients trust the process and embrace the unexpected. Blending modernity with tradition, Cira crafts spaces rich with narrative and accepts commissions in any compelling places.

Based outside Philadelphia in West Chester, PA, she lives with her wonderfully unconventional family, and can’t resist picking up cool rocks wherever she goes.

MEGAN NEFF, design team & Administrator

Megan has always had an innate love for interiors and architecture. A Drexel graduate with a degree in design, she began working for an esteemed designer in 2006 whom she credits for growing her knowledge of antiques, art, and textiles. With an appreciation for the narrative that old homes exude, she bought a converted school house from the early 1900’s.  Megan will always stop for furniture discarded on the side of the road, especially random chairs, which she probably has too many of! We love the energy she has brought to the CJD Team. Megan wears many hats for us including design, installation, purchase management, and correspondence.

Aidan C. Williams, INSTALL team

A West Chester local, Aidan has been perennially eager to learn new trades and skill sets for as long as he can remember. With a family background in construction, a deep love for the outdoors, skateboarding, and friends and family, we are grateful to welcome his sunny disposition as a great asset to the CJD Team.

Sonny smith, Install team

Harold “Sonny” Smith hails from the Antiques & Auction world where he has traveled far and wide for appraisals and acquisitions for his family’s company, as well as respected auction houses. Sonny is also a musician and has been a CJD team member since 2016. He helps with some of our deliveries and of course our install days!

MOONLIGHT DESIGN & INSTALL team

Cameron Taylor’s brawn, brains, and bravado are now missed on a regular basis, as he has pursued his restaurant dreams with his wife, Lauren. However, if you’re one of our lucky clients, count on seeing him for our destination projects! Julia Ogden began her career with CJD as an intern and quickly blossomed into a talented designer in her own right. Now a high-end kitchen & bath designer, we look forward to having Julia’s keen eye occasionally help us and our clients. Taylor Reber’s passion for design brought her to us in an effort to step out of her prestigious corporate marketing tenure. We love when Taylor’s multifaceted skills are used to benefit our outcomes. Mandy Stadtmiller, an artist, gardener, and floral designer, has been with Cira since the inception of the business, and is called upon for a slew of responsibilities: she is our “Jill of All Trades.” We are honored and humbled that as our team has evolved, our OG’s are always eager to come back when they can!

CONTRACTORS & SUBS

Our recommended contractors are shared with our clients upon a project’s inception (as they are accepted into our queue). We rely on a trusted circle of subcontractors — craftspeople and trades who understand our paradigm. Together, we create interiors that are deeply personal. We are open to collaborating with other skilled tradespeople outside our orbit (locally and certainly during destination projects), as long as they are communicative and comfortable working with our team and process.
